We Fall Down

There is no shame in falling down, we all fall down. The shame is staying down, and repeating the cycle  going back, again and again and again. The Bible tells us to be repentant.

Acts 17:30 NLT “God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him.

Definition of “Repent”:  to feel sorry, self-reproachful, or contrite for past conduct; regret or be conscience-stricken about a past action, attitude, etc. (often followed by of):  He repented after his thoughtless act.  To change one’s life for the better; to be penitent.

Repentance means to turn away and NEVER go back.  LIFE CHANGE.

There is a huge difference between forgiveness and repentance.  Saints, we need to teach repentance.
Some people use forgiveness as a crutch. Too many people kneel at the base of a crutch and never get to the foot of the CROSS. That is where we find life changing repentance.

In Matthew 3:8, it says that we should prove by the way we live that we have repented.

Galations 5:1 says “Standfast”. (to be fixed; to be unshaken or immovable) – therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

What if you become a repeat offender? (Read all of Rom 6)

Rom. 6:1&2– Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace?  2 Of course not!  Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?

Romans 6:12  Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. 13. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God.

1 John 5:21 Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.

It is our responsibility to get up and grow up in our walk with Christ.  To overcome every obstacle in our way.
