Walk This Way

Isaiah 35:8 The wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

The way of holiness is straight and narrow and always right in front of us.  The way of holiness is so often overlooked.  The simplest minds cannot go astray if they constantly follow it.

Isaiah 55:8-9 (ESV) 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. 9  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

The worldly wise have many twists and turns, and yet they make terrible mistakes and generally miss their end.  Reminds me of a maze with no exit.  The world’s best reasoning is always lacking, and misguided. When men choose this worldly path as their road, it leads them up steep dark mountains and into treacherous valleys.

Gracious minds know no better than to obey the Lord;  but this keeps them in the King’s highway and under His royal protection.  Even when the road before them seen to be blocked for a time, they will wait for further instruction, and seek Gods will so not to stray from the path.

Isaiah 35:8 NLT And a great road will go through that once deserted land.  It will be named the Highway of Holiness.

Evil-minded people will never travel on this Godly path.  It will only be traveled by those who walk in God’s ways; fools will never walk there.  The safest place lies in obedience to God’s Word, singleness of heart and Holy vigilance.

Psalms119:133 Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.

God’s way is the RIGHT-OUS path, but you must decide to “walk this way”, or will you go left?

My prayer (for myself and for you), “Guide my steps by your Word, so I will not be overcome by evil.”

All my love Sharon
