Jeremiah 29:11 NLT For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Today we’re going to be talking about the paths we take and the plans we make. Today I will be speaking about myself personally.  For the readers that know me on a personal level, you know that I’m on a road that I have never traveled before.  So far this road has had many bumps and several pot holes.

Nevertheless, this is not a road that I have chosen on my on.  I have made up my mind to follow the leading of The Holy Spirit.  Nowhere was it said that this road would be easy.  But somewhere deep inside, beneath the discomfort and the unknown. I totally trust my Lord.

Jeremiah 10:23 NLT I know, Lord , that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course.

Within the last two weeks I have taken a giant leap of faith. God spoke to me to get out of the boat. He has been tugging on my heart for over one year to leave a job that I was very comfortable in. I took the time to remind God of the economy and the fact that I was already struggling to keep my family afloat. Yet this didn’t change His mind, He then reminded me that He was my provider. My choice was either trust God or go to plan B.

This weekend I received an email from a dear friend, that has been praying for me earnestly. She gave me words of encouragement and told me how much God loved me for my obedience. Then she asked me if I had a backup plan. That’s when I began to laugh inside. I really felt like Sarah in the book of Genesis.  Ha, Ha, do I have a plan B?  Well the truth is no.

If you just knew how many resumes that I have submitted, you would be laughing too. All to no avail, no interviews, no call backs, no answers.  Actually this is a funny part, I began sending out resumes last October. I’m seriously in a spiritual holding pattern.  Circling around the airport waiting on a clear runway. I like to think of it as “plan G” (plan God).

Isaiah 55:9 NLT For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.

Now if you’re still in the boat and God has asked you to take a leap of faith my friend. I have a word of encouragement for you.  Jump on in, you will not be alone. We can have a good laugh or two together. The water may not be the temperature you are accustomed to, but it is where God wants me, right here, right now.  That’s where I want to be, exactly where He wants me.  He may not step in until It’s down to last minute, and that’s all right by me. I know without a doubt that He’s an on time God. So once again, this is where you will find me, right in the middle of “plan G.”

Philippians 3:12-14 (NKJV) Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

I want to thank God for the special friends that He has placed in my life for such a time as this. They call, text and message me daily to encourage and love on me. They let me know that they are praying for my situation and that they are expecting great things.  Thank you to those friends you are truly God sent. Now to those that may be wondering as what the outcome may be, just continue reading daily. Because I will be giving God glory daily as to how Great He is. Because one thing I know without a doubt is that we still serve a God that specializes in miracles.
