LETS GO FOWL HUNTING

16 March 2017

victoryI happened to look outside my kitchen while on the phone.  The area in front of our tree line with its variegated greens of the grass and moss is usually dotted with crumpled brown leaves.  This time the area was scattered with occurrences of black.  The black was still and then it was moving.  I took a double take and then a triple take before realizing that literally hundreds of blackbirds were dotting the small grassy area directly in front of me on the other side of the pool.

The phone call was with a very bold new friend who lives in another state.  She was telling me what I already know, but I have not applied successfully.

“God’s promises are yes and amen.”
“By the stripes of Jesus, you ARE healed!”
“Jesus took the stripes for ALL of your sicknesses, not some of them, but ALL of them.”
“Nail each symptom on the cross of Jesus.  Do that over and over until there are no more symptoms.”

I was SO over my own situation, that the thought of naming any of the multitude of physical issues did not cross my mind.  I took the verbal spanking because I knew she was exactly right!  What she was preaching to me was Biblical.

After completing the call, I quietly asked God what the birds meant.  They were there one instant and gone the next.  Instantly, I recalled Jesus’ parable of the sower.  (Matthew 13; Mark 4)

“Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:
And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side,
and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.”
I am a sower.  I sow seeds of the gospel; seeds of my purpose.  As I go forward to fulfill the calling that God has ordained for me before the foundations of the earth, some of those seeds of my purpose have fallen by the way side.  I have allowed the enemy of the air to come and to devour my health and delay my effectiveness in His kingdom.

Just like the dead brown leaves mixed with the black of the birds, the enemy had slipped in and blended with what was dead in my life.  I believe God, but I had slipped into survival mode.  It has taken a painfully long time for me to KNOW that I control when the enemy leaves.  I must continually take authority over the enemy in the name of Jesus!  I must come out of agreement with the fowls of the air and agree with the maker of heaven and earth.

I am ready to believe God.  I am ready to change my season.  Fowls of the air, I shoot you with my Jesus gun!  Will you go fowl hunting with me this season?

Prayer:  I repent, Father God, for agreeing with the enemy.  I agree with you, God.  Fowls of the air—LEAVE immediately in the name of Jesus!
