I went to a women’s only service tonight.  I was unexpectedly asked to come and pray with a lady that was having problems with her back.  The Lord gently spoke, “forgiveness”.  I new that this sweet lady had to forgive someone, or perhaps several people, in order to receive her healing.  Over the years, the Lord has spoken to me more than once while waiting on someone to pray with me for healing, saying, “Forgive and you will be forgiven.”  Seems like a simple thing, but sometimes it takes years to truly forgive.  On the other hand, only seconds, when we love like Jesus loves!

Jesus paid the price
for her healing
and my healing
and your healing
on the cross of Calvary!

So, why is it important that she forgive in order to be healed?  Unforgiveness stored in one’s soul—their mind, will and emotions—gives the enemy and his mean hoard of critters the legal right to block healing and all good things that God desires to do to help His children.  If we forgive those who trespass against us, then our heavenly Father will also forgive us.  If we don’t forgive, then we get to keep those “soul wounds” caused by the sin of unforgiveness and other sins.  The enemy uses these wounds against us.

Check out these Scriptures on forgiveness and the workings of the enemy:

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
